Kickstarter is a constant source of amazing and innovative board games, here are some of the latest we found that look promising!

Defense Grid: The Board Game:

"Defense Grid: The Board Game combines everything you love about board games with a true to form Tower Defense game. It has a campaign with 10 missions, character leveling, deck building, and 68 miniatures in every box. Defense Grid: The Board Game is a tower defense game where 1 to 4 players work cooperatively to destroy waves of aliens as they attempt to steal the players’ cores and run off with them."

"You will each control 1 of 6 available AIs as you play simultaneously to build, upgrade, and fire the Towers available to your AIs in each mission. After each mission, you will receive a Bronze, Silver, or Gold medal. Based on the medal you will acquire points that can be used to level up and customize each of your AIs. After leveling up, and between each Mission attempt, you can customize your Decks as you prepare to face your next Mission. Each Mission in Defense Grid: The Board Game is constructed using modular map tiles, creating the 10 unique Missions included with the game and 24 Bonus Missions that we will release for free in the months after the game makes it to backers. When playing, each player only has to control 1 AI. It is designed to support true Solo play or a really deep Cooperative experience for up to 4 players."

Sub Terra: a Cooperative Survival Horror Game for 1-6 Cavers:

"Sub Terra is a fully cooperative survival horror board game. You and up to five friends are cave explorers who have become trapped deep underground. You must quickly explore a tile-based cave system, utilise your character's specialist skills and carefully manage your actions to find the way out before your flashlights die and you're lost in the darkness forever. "

"You'll need to work together to overcome deadly subterranean hazards - stick together for safety, or split up to cover more ground. One wrong step could knock you unconscious and your friends will need to stage a rescue. Light and hope are scarce. And worst of all, you don't think you're alone down here..."

Tortuga 1667: A Pirate Game of Mutiny, Plunder & Deceit:

"The year is 1667 and you are a pirate sailing the waters of the Caribbean. A Spanish Galleon floats nearby, and you’ve talked your crewmates into working together to steal all of its treasure. What you haven’t told your fellow pirates is that you have no intentions on sharing the treasure once you have it."

"Your crewmates have told you that they share your loyalty and that they’ll help you maroon the greedy pirates on your ship to the rocky island of Tortuga. But you’ve seen your friends’ loaded pistols and heard their whisperings of a mutiny. You know that nobody can be trusted."
