Ultimate Werewolf Tactics: Werewolf

In this series we are going to take a look at the different roles in Ultimate Werewolf and give you some tips on how to play them.

There are two camps of people: Those who die to be the Werewolf, loving the opportunity to lie to and deceive there friends within the safe confines of the game. And then there are those who have too much anxiety to deal with it. The Werewolves (unsurprisingly) are a pillar of the game and without them there is no game.

For a Werewolf, your motivation is simple; Take over the village. A good Werewolf player is unafraid to throw their fellow Werewolf under the bus. Many a game has been won and lost based on how the Werewolves treat each other during the days. Werewolves are most comfortable among hysteria, if you can insight it and keep the village from getting a good grasp of things you will be in a better position to win.

If you recall from earlier this week, we mentioned Villagers claiming to be the Seer can be a beneficial tactic, this is also true for the Werewolves, but with different motivations behind it. For the Werewolves, claiming to be the Seer has 2 possible outcomes: Either you remain safe as they are convinced you are an asset to the team. Or you force the Seer to possibly come forth and offer your team a tasty treat for the next night.

The final tip (and possibly the most important) is that you must act natural, the key downfall for any Werewolf is them acting differently to when they were on the Village team. Body language screams out to anyone paying attention in Werewolf so if you can convince yourself that you are good, you may just convince everyone else.
