Im all for games going digital, having an iPad full of my favourites ready to play wehn taking my games really isn't plausible. In saying this, a game such as Gloom really doesn't seem like the right fit for this treatment.
Part of the joy found in Gloom is the direct interaction with those playing, its about the well crafted stories and the back and forth these create. I like to think of Gloom as less of a game and more of an experience.
Taking it into the digital space feels like it would really rob it of what makes it great.
That being said, the team seems to be lovingly crafting a well polished game, coming both the tablet and desktop, so you can't fault there treatment of the situation.
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe this is exactly what Gloom needs to broaden its audience? Only time will tell! Check it out over on there Kickstarter page!
