In the whole Dota vs LoL war I chose to back League, I wasn't the most skilled when it came to the moba scene, infact I'm not that skilled when it comes to many video games. Sure I'm usually the one 'out of my friends' that is better than most, but on a global level I don't really hold a candle to others.
But what I did love about my brief foray into Lol was the characters, I have been playing alot of Hearthstone and just like with Lol, I get the reminicent feeling of my time playing warcraft with my buddies. The asthetic of League was probably its biggest draw card for me.
That was why when I heard Riot Games, the company responsible for League of Legends, was making another game I thought sure, maybe it will be interesting.
It was once I found out that this was a board game that I have to make a double take. The game is called Mechs vs. Minions, a cooperative campaign game for 2-4 players set in the same world of League of Legends.
The game uses programmed movement similar to that seen in games such as Robo Rally and Colt Express, and the game lasts ten missions, with each mission coming in an envelope that possibly contains new stuff, giving the players an almost Legacy-esque feeling.
The game will be sold directly from Riot Games online store at a price tag of $75 USD, this might make it a difficult by for us here in Aus but lets have our fingers crossed!
